Dr Poyner is awarded The Medical Sciences Doctoral Thesis Prize

Dr Elizabeth Poyner, newly appointed consultant dermatologist at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, was a 4Ward North PhD Academy Fellow and has been awarded the Newcastle University Medical Sciences Doctoral Thesis Prize medal for her PhD entitled “Defining and comparing the immune composition of Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma to Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis, using single-cell transcriptome profiling,” which was carried out under the supervision of Professor Muzz Haniffa, Dr Sophie Weatherhead and Dr Chris Bacon. This prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic research achievement and excellence, as well as outstanding contribution to the research discipline. This research led to a first author publication in Nature Immunology!
